EU Experts Downgrade Slovenia's BSE Risk Factor
Brussels, 11 May - EU experts, who are assessing countries outside the EU for the potential presence of BSE, have established that the risk of BSE infection in Slovenia is "unlikely but not excluded", Slovene Minister of Agriculture Franci But told STA. Slovenia was thus downgraded to the second risk group of countries after having been rated in the third group ("likely but not confirmed or confirmed at a lower lever") in a draft report published in late April.
