Lek and Krka Sharply Up
Ljubljana, 12 May - The volume of trade at the Ljubljana Stock Exchange (LJSE) last week considerably exceeded that of the first week in May and amounted to SIT 4.15 billion (EUR 17.3 million). The shares of the pharmaceutical companies Lek and Krka recorded a sharp rise on Friday, so that the benchmark index SBI 20 gained 11.07 points or 0.65 percent, ending the week at 1727.17 points. The free market index PIT was up by 34.09 points to reach 1475.47 points, while the BIO index (liabilities) recorded a slight rise (0.08 points) to end the week at 109.26 points. Just the authorized companies' index PIX was down. It lost 19.72 points to end the week at 1372.73 points.
