Nedelo Poll: Slovenes Oppose Sale of Real Estate to Foreigners

Ljubljana, 13 May - Almost 36 percent of those polled in this week's edition of the weekly Nedelo oppose the sale of real estate to foreigners. Nedelo's poll also shows that some 34 percent would allow the sale of real estate to foreigners, but under certain conditions (such as reciprocity), while only 20 percent are in favour of openly selling real estate to foreigners. The poll reveals that Slovenes fear that the most beautiful parts of the country would be bought by foreigners; 65 percent expressed this fear.
