Weekly Review of Slovenia's Economy from 5 April to 11 May

Ljubljana, 13 May - The new telecommunications act came into effect during the week. The act relaxes the establishment of telephony services and regulates the competition. In other news, experts from the Slovene central bank announced that the economic growth in Slovenia will slow down to stand at about 3.4 percent this year, while inflation will finish at approximately 6 percent. Furthermore, Slovenia slid two spots on the global competition scale to place 36th among 49 most important world economies.
