Initiative on Duty-Free Transformation Act Filed at Constitutional Court

Ljubljana, 14 May - An initiative to reassess the constitutionality of the duty-free shop transformation act was filed with the Constitutional Court by the non-parliamentary New Party on Monday. The party proposes that the court annul two decrees from the Parliament's standing orders, decide on irregularities of the legislative procedure in which the act was adopted, assign a deadline for collecting signatures for an additional referendum on the act, or annul the act altogether. The initiative also proposes the implementation of the act be put on hold.
