Slovenia to Withdraw Transition Period Requests for Free Trade Agreements

Ljubljana, 17 May - The Slovene government decided on Thursday to withdraw its request for transition periods that it had requested in EU accession negotiations for the free trade agreements that it holds with Croatia and Macedonia. The decision means that Slovenia will be able to end harmonisation in a further two EU negotiating chapters.
