Government Opposes Proposed Changes to RTV Act

Ljubljana, 18 May - The government on Friday adopted its standpoint towards the four proposed amendments to the act on the public radio and television network, which are currently going through second reading in parliament and were endorsed by the parliamentary committee for culture, education, youth, science and sport. "The government agrees with the purpose of the proposed changes, but it opposes the actual amendments, as they surpass the intention of the proposing party of these changes and supplements to the act," the Ministry of Culture reported on Friday.
