FAZ: Drnovsek Criticizes Berlusconi

Frankfurt, 21 May - On the margin of a conference aimed at discussing EU-related issues, the Aspen European Dialogue, in Italy's Cernobbio, Slovene Prime Minister Janez Drnovsek commented on the doubts expressed about the EU's eastward enlargement by the candidate for new Italian prime minister, Silvio Berlusconi, and the candidate for new economics minister, Giulio Tremonti. Drnovsek said that only short-sighted politicians could be dissatisfied with EU enlargement, Monday's edition of the Frankfurt-based paper, Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung (FAZ), observes.
