Slovenia's Ombudsman Presents Annual Report
Ljubljana, 25 May - The Ombudsman's Office received 3059 cases in 2000, which is about ten percent less than the year before. However the smaller number of cases does not mean that there are less human rights violations in Slovenia, it is rather a result of the delayed election of the new Ombudsman; after the appointment, the number of cases doubled immediately, Ombudsman Matjaz Hanzek commented at the presentation of the Ombudsman's anual report.
