More Unemployed Slovene Women than Men in 2000

Ljubljana, 26 May - A total of 106,601 persons were unemployed in 2000, of which 54,095 (50.7 percent) were women. Compared to 1999, the number of unemployed women dropped by 10.1 percent, while the overall unemployment rate stood at 10.4 percent, according to the annual report of the Slovene Employment Office.
