Eles Generates Turnover Profits After Six Years

Ljubljana, 30 May - The Slovene electricity distributor Eles concluded 2000 with a profit of SIT 2.7 billion (EUR 12.4 million), up from SIT 1.2 billion (EUR 5.5 million) in 1999. Most of the profits came form non-monetary revenues, namely the revaluation of long-term investments, while SIT 905 million (EUR 4.2 million) came from shared profits of the companies TDR and Talum, where Eles has a 80-percent ownership share, Eles acting director Vekoslav Korosec told the press on Wednesday.
