Minister Rupel Optimistic Ahead of the NATO Summit in Prague

Budapest, 30 May - Slovene Foreign Minister Dimitrij Rupel is optimistic ahead of the NATO summit in Prague next year. As Rupel said at a news conference on Wednesday on the sidelines of the Euro-Atlantic Partnership Council meeting in Budapest, the most important message of the current meeting was that the alliance will enlarge in Prague. He also said that the U.S. Secretary of State Colin Powell on Wednesday told foreign ministers from the Vilnius group of NATO candidates, which was joined by Croatia in Budapest, that Prague will be the cornerstone of the open-door policy.
