Slovenia Needs a Bank in Slovene Majority Ownership, Former Central Bank Governor Says

Ljubljana, 31 May - Given that Nova ljubljanska banka (NLB) is the bank with the largest market share in Slovenia, it is extremely important which institution will be offered to purchase its majority stake, the former Governor of the Bank of Slovenia, France Arhar, said late on Wednesday evening after the government outlined a bank privatisation programme, a document which is to be further discussed today.
