Police Ill-Treatment of Foreign Workers Criticized by Helsinki Monitor
Ljubljana, 4 June - The Helsinki Monitor Slovenia (HMS) on Monday brought the excessive use of police force against workers coming from the republics of former Yugoslavia to the attention of the public, describing a house search in which eight Bosnian citizens were terrorized and suffered material damage. The degrading treatment of Bosnians was also in violation of Article 3 of the European Human Rights Convention, the HMS said.
