National Party Urges the Constitutional Court to Re-Examine the Border Agreement with Croatia
Ljubljana, 5 June - The Slovene National Party (SNS) on Saturday urged the Constitutional Court to once again examine the agreement regulating transport and co-operation in the Slovene-Croatian border region. As SNS president Zmago Jelincic said at a news conference on Tuesday, the party did so, because in its previous assessment the Court only passed opinion on Article 1 of the agreement. The court on 19 April ruled that the agreement was not incompatible with constitution, after one third of Slovene MPs asked it to do so in January 2000.
