Brdo pri Kranju, 6 June - Slovenia and Portugal will become strategic partners in the EU, but will commence close co-operation right away, Portuguese Prime Minister Antonio Guterres said after meeting his host, Slovene Prime Minister Janez Drnovsek, on Thursday at Brdo Castle, some 30 km north of Ljubljana.
