Regional Partnership on the Future of the EU
Vienna, 6 June - The enlargement and future of the EU were the highlights of the afternoon part of the regional partnership meeting in Vienna on Wednesday, which was attended by Foreign Ministers Benita Ferrero-Waldner of Austria, Dimitrij Rupel of Slovenia, Eduard Kukan of Slovakia, Janos Martonyi of Hungary, Jan Kavan of the Czech Republic, and Deputy Polish Foreign Minister Andrzej Ananicz. The officials from the EU candidate countries called upon the Austrian foreign minister to help the EU associated states on their path towards the EU and not to set hurdles.
