Outcome of Irish Referendum Is Not a Good Sign, Says Slovene President

Milan, 9 June - "The outcome of the Irish referendum on the ratification of the Nice Treaty is not a good sign - neither for Ireland, nor the EU, the candidate countries or the European outlook. The outcome is, however, a warning that public opinion has to be seriously taken into consideration," Slovene President Milan Kucan said in response to the Irish referendum on Saturday after the summit of Central European presidents.
