Weekly Review of the Slovene Economy from 2 to 8 June
Ljubljana, 10 June - The week saw a G-5 summit of finance ministers take place in Ljubljana. The ministers discussed issues concerning integration into the EU, while they assessed that the biggest problem in the accession process is the undetermined date of enlargement. A business conference between Slovene and Portuguese companies, which took place during the week, was designed to boost the low volumes of trade between the two countries. Better economic co-operation is also the aim of the agreement on the avoidance of double taxation, signed by Slovenia and Greece.
