Slovenia and EU to Hold Accession Negotiations
Luxembourg, 11 June - Slovenia and the EU will hold the regular semiannual ministerial round of accession negotiations on Tuesday to formally confirm the provisional closure of six chapters of the acquis. Negotiations on twenty out of a total of 29 negotiating chapters will thus be formally concluded. Topping the negotiating agenda tomorrow will be the free movement of persons, where Slovenia rejects the proposed transitional period, which is why negotiations on the subject will continue.
