Unemployment Rate to Fall to 5 Percent by 2006, Says Labour Minister
Ljubljana, 11 June - Labour Minister Vlado Dimovski believes that the government's active labour policy and new employment programmes will result in a decrease of unemployment to five percent, that is from the current 60,000 to 40,000 in 2006. The Labour Ministry will start implementing two programmes this year, namely subsidising the employment of persons providing home-care for the elderly and subsidising traineeship wages, Minister Dimovski on Monday told the press, presenting the Ministry's achievements in the past six months.
