Slovenia Expects Clear Commitment to Enlargement from EU Summit, Says Bavcar
Paris, 13 June - Slovenia expects a clear commitment to be made at the EU summit in Gothenburg that enlargement will be carried out within the set dates, as this would ensure a swift beginning of substantive accession negotiations on most difficult issues of the acquis, stressed Slovene Minister of European Affairs Igor Bavcar at a meeting with his French counterpart Pierre Moscovici in Paris on Wednesday. The EU will stick to the agreements regarding enlargement reached at the December summit in France, and the Irish no-vote will not influence that, Moscovici assured Bavcar.
