Announcement on NATO Enlargement in Line With Slovenia's Expectations, Says Drnovsek
Ljubljana, 13 June - Slovene Prime Minister Janez Drnovsek said he had expected for some time that NATO would at the Prague summit next year invite some new candidate countries, among them very likely also Slovenia, to join the alliance. "Things are of course never completely certain until they happen, but this is very likely now," Drnovsek said in his first response to the announcement that putting off NATO expansion is no longer an option.
