Slovene PM Drnovsek Meets with Berlusconi; Meeting with Solana Cancelled
Gothenburg, 15 June - Slovene Prime Minister Janez Drnovsek and his Italian counterpart Silvio Berlusconi, who met on the fringe of the EU summit in the Sweden city of Gothenburg on Thursday evening, discussed issues related to bilateral relations, and Slovenia's integration into Euro-Atlantic institutions. At this first meeting between the two officials after Berlusconi became the Italian prime minister, the Italian prime minister said the new Italian government would not make Slovenia's EU integration conditional upon bilateral issues.
