Ljubljana, 16 June - The EU's internal problems increase impatience of the candidate countries, especially the most ambitious ones which insist on being ready for accession in January 2003. Their distrust would be most easily overcome by setting the date for enlargement, speculates the leading Slovene daily Delo. However due to the inconsistencies in the EU, such a thing is out of the question, so verbal assurances of the irreversibility of the enlargement obviously remain the only reply to the increasingly angry applicant countries, says Delo.
