Slovenia Sticks to Its Position on Free Labour Flow, Slovenia's Chief EU Negotiator Says in Portugal
Lisbon, 27 June - Slovenia's Chief Negotiator with the EU Janez Potocnik on Wednesday in Portugal discussed the future of the EU, its enlargement, the regional and cohesion policy and agriculture. The free flow of labour force from the east once again dominated the talks, after Slovakia and Latvia today followed Hungary's move in accepting a transition period of up to seven years in which their labour force will not be able to search jobs in the current EU members.
