Lagendijk: It Is Right for Slovenia Not to Accept 7-Year Transition Period
Ljubljana, 28 June - Slovenia will, as a new EU member, certainly take part in the 2004 elections to the European Parliament. Of the seven seats which the country would be entitled to, at least one could be won by the Green Party. However, all green factions, which are currently divided by internal wrangling, have to be united in that party, said Joost Lagendijk, the vice-president of the Green faction in the European Parliament, during his three-day visit to Slovenia.
