Slovenia Has Received EUR 16 Million for Establishment of Schengen Border
Ljubljana, 29 June - For activities in the framework of internal affairs, Slovenia has so far received EUR 16 million from the EU's Phare programme, mostly for the establishment of the Schengen border, and is expected to receive another EUR 9.5 million by the end of 2003. Besides, Slovenia itself will allocate for this purpose close to double the amount of the EU resources, Interior Minister Rado Bohinc said on Friday at a press conference he gave together with the head of the European Commission delegation to Slovenia, Eric van der Linden.
