Weedkly Rewiew of Events Involving Slovenia from 23 to 29 June
Ljubljana, 30 June - Slovenia celebrated ten years since its independence on Monday, at which occasion it was paid a visit by German Chancellor Gerhard Schroeder, who was also the guest speaker at the main ceremony on Monday evening. Another important visit was paid to Slovenia by Dutch Prime Minister Wim Kok on Tuesday. Slovene Speaker of Parliament Borut Pahor addressed the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe in Strasbourg, to mark Slovenia's anniversary. Ten years since the break-up of the former Yugoslavia its successor states signed the framework succession agreement in Vienna at the end of the week.
