Slovenia to Prepare a New Strategy of Economic Development

Ljubljana, 3 July - Slovenia is preparing a new strategy of economic development, which is to be the basis for all development plans in Slovenia together with the national development programme. The strategy envisions a boost in Slovenia's prosperity by 2006, equally dealing with economic, social and environmental aspects. Slovenia's Chief EU Negotiator Janez Potocnik said that the new strategy to be adopted by the Slovene government this month is in some points even ahead of the EU's, as it points out the necessity of permanent development of the society and individuals.
