Talks on NEK Agreement to Be Completed by the End of the Week

Ljubljana, 4 July - Talks on a Slovene-Croatian agreement on the ownership and status of the Krsko jointly-owned nuclear power plant (NEK) are still under way, with the majority of major issues already harmonised, Slovene Environment Minister Janez Kopac said on Wednesday, and added that both countries' negotiating teams are likely to meet again tomorrow to review the Slovene and Croatian wordings of the agreement, a document based on an agreement on NEK reached by the Slovene and Croatian prime ministers at the beginning of June. The negotiations are expected to finish at the end of this week.
