Slovene Cyclist Injured in Traffic Accident

Novo Mesto, 5 July - One of Slovenia's best cyclist of recent times, Gorazd Stangelj, was injured in a traffic accident on Thursday near the Southern Slovene city of Novo Mesto. Stangelj was hit by a car while on his way to meeting a number of other cyclist, who were to participate at an event in Slovenia today. According to reports Stangelj, a member of the Liquigas Pata team, suffered a broken collarbone and is expected to be out of action for three weeks.
