PM Drnovsek Warns of the Danger of Postponing EU Enlargement

San Sebastian, 9 July - The main goal of the efforts designed to bring about EU enlargement is a democratic and stable Europe with strong institutions which would prevent the reappearance of a Europe we used to know, namely a Europe of wars and conflicts, and this historical framework should be taken into consideration in all debates on the future of the EU, Slovene Prime Minister Janez Drnovsek said Monday at an international seminar entitled "Central Europe and EU Enlargement: Speeds and Delays" which is being held in Spain's San Sebastian.
