Slovenia Will Only Sign Kyoto Treaty When Implementation Mechanisms Are Known
Ljubljana, 13 July - Along with ten EU candidate countries and Croatia, Slovenia will insist at the Bonn session of the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change that rules laid down at the session should not impose new obligations upon countries, as that would inhibit the signing of the Kyoto Treaty by Slovenia and most other transitional countries, Environment Minister Janez Kopac said on Friday, presenting the national report on the umbrella UN convention on climate change.
