Slovenia Expects to Get SAPARD Funds Soon

Ljubljana, 13 July - The degree of development in Slovenia's agriculture justifies its demand for immediate membership in the common agriculture policy upon EU membership, said chair of the European Parliament's budgets committee Terry Wynn upon the conclusion of a two-day visit to Slovenia on Friday. Also among the ten-member European Parliament delegation was chair of the agriculture and countryside development committee Friedrich Wilhelm Graefe zu Baringdorf, who stressed that, due to its type of agriculture, Slovenia will surely be the driving force behind the thorough reforms of the EU agriculture policy following 2006.
