Gorenjska Banka Posts Extremely High Half-Year Profits

Kranj, 16 July - Gorenjska banka, Slovenia's seventh largest bank in terms of total assets in 2000, increased its total assets by nine percent to 173.7 billion Slovene tolars (798 million euros) in the first six months of 2001, generating pre-tax profits of two billion tolars (9.2 million euros), the bank said on Monday.
