Public Sector Wages Also Tackled by Gov't

Ljubljana, 19 July - The Slovene government also tackled the problems related to wages in the public sector at its session on Thursday. The government thus checked the implementation of the agreement on public sector wage harmonisation in 2001 and adopted annexes to collective agreements for the state administration and judicial wings. The latter should lead to the second wage increase, amounting to 2.6 percent, since last December's agreement with trade unions.
