A Danish Hiker Slips Down a Snowfield, Stopping Just above a Precipice

Ljubljana, 21 July - An accident occurred in the Julian Alps, northwestern Slovenia, on Friday, in which a Danish citizen slipped on a snowfield at 1950 metres above the sea level, rolled down the slope and came to a halt on rocks just eight metres above a precipice. The 62-year old woman, who suffered severe injuries, was taken by a helicopter to a hospital at Jesenice and then on to the Ljubljana health clinic, said the Kranj police.
