The Slovene World Congress, an association that promotes ties between Slovenes living around the world, is appalled over the reports on the closure of bilingual schools in the Austrian province of Carinthia. The move is unacceptable to the Slovene ethnic community and is in contradiction with the Austrian State Treaty and general European democratic norms, says the association's press release on Tuesday.
