Central Bank Says No Need to Change M3 Growth Target
Ljubljana, 25 July - The council of the Bank of Slovenia on Tuesday's session looked into short-term goals of the central bank's monetary policy. Central bank Governor Mitja Gaspari told the press on Wednesday that money aggregate 3 (M3) expanded by 10.3 percent from the fourth quarter of 2000 to Q2. In a year-on-year comparison, M3 soared by 20.4 percent, exceeding by far the upper limit, set for 2001 between 11 and 17 percent.
