Slovenia to Close Customs Union Chapter at Negotiations with EU

Brussels, 27 July - Slovenia and the EU are expected to close the customs union chapter at Friday's round of accession negotiations in Brussels. The expected closure of the chapter comes after a long-term hitch in relation to the abolishment of duty-free stores at Slovene road border crossings, which the EU claims should have been closed as early as 1998, seems to be resolved with the implementation of the bill on their closure.
