Slovenia Closes Another Chapter in EU Negotiations

Brussels, 27 July - Slovenia closed a chapter on customs union at Friday's round of EU accession negotiations in Brussels, thus narrowing the number of open chapters of the acquis to eight out of 29, said Slovenia's chief negotiator Janez Potocnik. He expressed hope that Slovenia would end negotiations on the remaining chapters, except the chapters on agriculture, regional policy and budgetary provisions, by the end of 2001.
