Slovene Telecommunications Company Opens New Plant in Russia

Ekaterinburg, 27 July - Slovene telecommunications company Iskratel and the mixed Slovene-Russian company IskraUralTel have put up a new manufacturing facility for production of electric devices in Russia. The investment is valued at over five million U.S. dollars and is to give a competitive edge on the former Soviet market to Iskratel, a company which signed a US$ 12.7-million co-operation contract with a leading Russian telecommunications company, OAO Centralno telekomunikaciona kompaniaat, at the beginning of July, Iskratel said on Friday.
