Italy to Double the Number of Policemen along Border with Slovenia on Wednesday

Rome, 31 July - Italy will double the number of its policemen controlling the Italian-Slovene border in the region around the city of Gorizia on Wednesday, a news report said on Tuesday. According to Radio Slovenia, Gorizia has not seen such a concentration of security forces since the tensions after 1991 when Slovenia gained independence.
