erusalem, March 1 (STA) - Slovenian President Milan Kučan is completing his three-day unofficial visit to Israel. Following talks this morning with Israeli Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin, Kučan said: "Despite being genuinely burdened with its current problems, in particular the Hebron tragedy, Israel shows an understanding of Slovenia, its problems and its situation which goes beyond mere bilateral interest."

Ljubljana, 1 March - PRESIDENT KUČAN: ISRAEL UNDERSTANDS SLOVENIA=
        President Kučan said Israeli leaders held similar views to Slovenian politicians on the Partnership for Peace, which NATO offered to Slovenia. This is an opportunity to open doors to future involvement in a collective security and defence system. This system will be jointly created by the Western European Union, NATO and non-NATO countries which wish to have an active role in planning a new European structure.
