Italian Police Beefs Up Border Control Once Again
Nova Gorica, 5 September - The Italian police on Tuesday once again beefed up the control on the Slovene-Italian border, after it pulled back 210 additional police officers last Friday who participated in a month-long "unsuccessful" effort to curb illegal migration to Italy. Thus, 100 new police officers arrived in Gorizia on Tuesday with the task to prevent illegal immigrants from crossing the border.
