Attempts to Abolish Slovene Radio Shows in Carinthia

The Carinthian provincial manager of the Austrian radio and television ORF Gerhard Draxler on Thursday rejected the demand by Klaus Pekarek, Carinthian member of an ORF committee, who wants to see Slovene radio programme within Radio Carinthia abolished. The law foresees a certain amount of programme for ethnic communities, Draxler told Radio Carinthia on Thursday, the Austrian press agency APA reported.
