Italian Authorities Ban Slovene Minority-Rights Fighter from Leaving Austria
Trieste, 10 September - ITALY/SLOVENIA/MINORITY
Samo Pahor, a retired professor of Slovene and history and a well-known fighter for the rights of the Slovene minority in Italy, was banned by Italian authorities from leaving Italy. He received a notice from Digos, a special task force of the Italian police, to hand in documents which would enable him to leave the country, Pahor told STA on Monday.
