Gov't Amends VAT Law in Line with EU Standards
Ljubljana, 13 September - The Slovene government adopted changes to the law on value added tax in a bid to fulfil obligations given to the EU at accession negotiations. The amendments are also intended to do away with some vagueness in the legislation, which has been noticed in practice. Finance Minister Anton Rop stressed that the amendments do not involve an increase in taxation levels.
