Ljubljana Stock Exchange Also Affected by Terrorism
Ljubljana, 15 September - After last week's rise on the Ljubljana Stock Exchange, shares dropped after Tuesday's terrorist attacks on the U.S., thus following world stock market trends. The Slovene benchmark SBI 20 index exceeded the magic mark of 2000 points on Monday, but dropped on Tuesday and even more so on Wednesday to finish the week at 1980.51 points, down 2.71 percent over the week before, despite slight recovery on Thursday and Friday. The authorised investment companies PIX index dropped 2.24 percent to 1492.64 points, the free market IPT index lost 2.82 percent to finish the week at 1587.05 points, while the BIO bond index remained virtually unchanged, gaining 0.01 point to 109.84 points.
